The Sedgemoor Chess Club AGM will take place on Monday 7th September 2026, running from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at St George’s Parish Centre, Wembdon, Bridgwater (TA6 7RP).
This meeting is an important part of the club’s year, giving members the chance to review the past season, discuss priorities for 2026/27, and vote on key decisions that guide how the club operates.

All members are encouraged to attend. This is your chance to help shape how the club grows — from coaching plans and events to improvements for the season ahead. If you’d like to volunteer, support the junior section, help with events, or simply have a say in how the club develops, the AGM is the best place to get involved.
Give your child a fun, structured day of competitive chess at St George’s Parish Centre, Wembdon, Bridgwater. Our Junior Rapidplay features six ECF‑rated games in a friendly environment for players aged 7–18. It’s a great opportunity for young people to build confidence, meet others, and enjoy a focused day of chess.
Entry is £17 per child, with the event running from 12.00 PM to 5.30 PM. All participants receive a certificate, and there are prizes for top performers such as medals and trophies.
